Pests and contamination sources are very abundant on the open field agriculture, the current means of solving this issue are by using large amounts of pesticides to try and save the season production. With more more consumers ditching the products affected this represents huge losses to the farmers! Also it is not enough said that the large existing transport lines oblige producers to harvest their products before maturity, wasting growth and nutritional value potential, which is then degraded during the long trips until it reaches the final consumer.
