There is no doubt that current food production is unsustainable with the current population growth. The amount of deforestation for farming fields is immense and it is hurting our Natural cycles. With energy production moving to low carbon energy sources, we will be able to cut the large transport routes for horticultural products, too deliver fresher food to the final consumer, reduce GHG emissions, reduce environmental impacts related to the use of Pesticides and fertilizers in an uncontrolled manner. All this by creating a controlled environment that is able to offer the right conditions to grow year round!
